The U.S. is experiencing a prolonged resignation trend with August 2021 seeing a record high 4.3 million Americans quitting their jobs. Additionally, at least 55 percent of American workers say they are likely to look for a new job in the next 12 months. The underlying factors driving this trend are unprecedented. Gallup polls show it is not pay or industry specific, but rather a workplace issue. Strategies will be provided to help employers retain and recruit staff during this time, including sample incentive agreements, attrition formulas, and other tips.

A common management challenge is the disappearing employee, especially those that take numerous and extended bathroom breaks.
